my first impression on the novel was a good one meaning i like the novel so far, it has a lot of culture and it talks about thing i do not fully understand. Some of the traditions and ways of life are strange to me and i look froward to reading more of the book.
The Igbo culture seems strange to me, like having more then one wife, or the ranking system of work-to-fame.
One way the Igbo culture is different from our culture is that normally one has only one wife unless one is a Moorman, the Igbo people have been known to have any number of wives depending on the amount of wealth one has.
Another way the Igbo culture is different is that the men in the house hold are the leaders of that house hold, meaning what he says goes! there is no questioning his orders if you live there.
The igbo culture has some things that are the same in our culture, like money. We both have some form of currency and buying of different items within our lands.
